We continue to work hard to bring the software to the finish line by January 31 (8pm MST). The date was pushed from January 11, as it became clear that it was taking too long to load member data correctly in the cloud environment, and we would not have sufficient time to validate accuracy of member notifications and transmission.
Thank you again to everyone who has been helping us test and providing invaluable feedback.
For those who are following the progress closely and testing, you will have noticed a few features being added and perhaps removed. Here is an update of what the team has been working on, and what is coming up in the next couple of weeks:
Latest updates:
Ticket Edits -
Bug fixes:
We removed the date restrictions for internal users so that we can keep the start date when only minor changes are made to the ticket.
We fixed the issue preventing users from re-mapping a location if the address was changed.
We fixed the issues with transmission of edits not getting through to users and members.
New issue:
It was discovered in testing that FTPs are overwriting edited tickets as duplicates of the original. This means we will have to add the ticket status (Original, Correction, Relocate, etc..) to the name of the files being transmitted. This will affect members who parse. Testing of new file names will start as soon as we can get the changes made.
UAT to Cloud migration - Manitoba member data has been loaded. We found some errors and corrected the script accordingly. The reload was validated and last night, and 5,000 validation tickets were run through the system and no exceptions were noted. The system is ready and matches the current system exactly.
BC data was loaded, and errors in the load have been corrected. The data should be completely re-validated by tomorrow, and an automatic 5,000 ticket validation process will take place on BC data over the weekend.
AB data is loaded and line-by-line validation of member subscriptions will start this evening and continue through the weekend. We anticipate that we will run the automated ticket replication test on AB data in the first couple of days next week.
Emergency Call Out Module - Testing will be completed in the production environment once member data is 100% validated. Tested successfully in the UAT.
Member Portal - is now associated to the production environment
Bug Fixes -
We are now able to correctly view member data in the Authority Viewer. Testing will continue on the viewer once validation of subscription data and registered member data is complete.
Communication and Training with Members on this module will likely take place soon after cutover is complete.
Base map - Google base map has been re-installed. Zoom levels are fixed. Grid base layer is now viewable by the user (Tested and complete).
UI UPDATES
Help Menus - Help menus are now updated. We have identified some omissions and errors which have been reported and are being fixed.
Video links should be updated early next week. Videos and voice-overs are all complete and just need to be loaded on the UI.
Mapping Tools - Video help on how to map complex shapes with the polygon tool has been created. Waiting for upload to system.
Positive Response Button - Still testing. Will finalize once data is validated. Documentation is available for members and users - by request only for now until testing is complete.
Log In Panel - Single log in panel is created. The new panel currently points to UAT, but will be redirected to the production environment once validation is 100% complete and prior to user pre-registration dates.
USER PRE-REGISTRATION - Pre-registration dates are set for January 21-25. A link will be provided (when data validation is complete in production environment - next week) to Alpha Users, previous webinar participants, heavy users from 2018 and will be posted in Announcements on this site.
